Ametyst Moravia Ltd. Co is located in the town of Fr7dlant upon Ostravice at picturesque foothills of the Beskydy Mountains. The firm carries forward a long tradition of enamelling, whose beginnings date back to round 1850.

The town of Fr7dlant upon Ostravice with its about 10 thousand inhabitants is lying in a wide valley between Mt Lysá Hora and Mt Ondřejník. It is a natural centre of this micro-region and a gate to the mountains for tourists. The origin of Frýdlant goes back to the 14th century. The first people, who lived in this region were agriculture and wood workers and charcoal burners. Later in the 17th century there were manufactories processing local iron ore.

Since 1948 Frýdlant has been a town. There are several architectural monuments: a baroque parish church from the first half of the 17th century, a historical Marian Column at the square and others. A wide offer of accommodation, catering, sports a cultural facilities serve to tourists as well as local people. At the local airport flights are organized for those who want to take a bird´s-eye view of the whole mountain area. The surrounding countryside is really beautiful and the town of Frýdlant is a real gate to the Beskydy Mountains.

There is a Museum of Ferdiš Duši offering a wide collection of works of art created of cast iron and enamel.

Thanks to an interesting exhibition Infoterma which takes place every year. Frýdlant has gained a nation-wide prestige in the field of alternative energy sources.
